Welcome to StadiumStub. This Privacy Policy explains how StadiumStub ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you use our iOS mobile application and associated backend services (collectively, the "App"). By using StadiumStub, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, information automatically collected through your use of the App, and information from third parties.

A. Information You Provide Directly

  • Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address, display name, and profile avatar.
  • Profile Data: Your declared favorite team, home stadium, and "fan since" year.
  • Ticket Data: When you manually enter tickets, upload a ticket image, or use our email-forwarding service, we collect ticket details (stadium, seat, row, date, matchup).
  • Media: Photos you explicitly upload to the App to generate event recaps.
  • Communications: Messages sent via the in-app social chat or queries submitted to our digital concierge service.

B. Information Collected Automatically

  • Location Data: With your explicit permission, we collect precise location data (GPS) to provide live routing, hyper-local weather forecasts, and event updates.
  • Background Location & Geofencing: If enabled, we use background location monitoring strictly on the day of your event to verify your physical attendance at a stadium and generate your digital passport footprint. We do not track your location outside of these event parameters.
  • Microphone & Audio Data: If you use our in-app song identification features, we access your device's microphone to capture short audio samples. This audio is processed in real-time to identify the song playing in the stadium. We do not record, save, or transmit your voice or ambient audio.
  • Device & Usage Analytics: We collect anonymous analytics including device operating system, app version, screen navigation, and feature engagement. You may opt out of analytics sharing in the App Settings.

C. Information from Third Parties

We integrate with external sports data, weather, and ticketing APIs to augment your ticket data with real-time event status, market values, and attendance statistics.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the data we collect solely to power the App's core functionality:

  • Artificial Intelligence Processing: We utilize third-party generative AI services to process ticket text, user queries, and uploaded photos to generate personalized event recaps, fan profiles, and concierge responses.
  • Live Event Operations: To trigger Lock Screen updates, send push notifications regarding your event (e.g., gate openings, weather delays), and sync with your device's calendar.
  • Social Features: To display your lifetime stats on leaderboards and, if opted-in, share your verified event attendance with your approved friends.
  • App Stability & Security: To monitor network connectivity, fix crashes, and prevent fraudulent activity or abuse of our services.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your individual personal data. We only share information in the following specific circumstances:

  • Aggregated & Anonymized Insights: We may share or sell aggregated, de-identified attendance trends, demographic shifts, and stadium logistics insights with affiliated sports teams, leagues, and venue operators to help them improve the game-day experience. This aggregated data cannot be tied back to you or used to identify you individually.
  • With Your Approved Network: If you accept a friend request, those users can view your public tickets, lifetime stats, unlocked badges, and your live stadium location check-in (if enabled). You can hide specific tickets from your network by toggling them to "Private."
  • Service Providers: We share necessary data with trusted infrastructure partners to operate the App, including cloud hosting providers, third-party artificial intelligence processors, secure payment gateways, and email delivery services.
  • Legal Compliance: If required by law, subpoena, or to protect the safety and rights of StadiumStub and its users.

4. Data Storage and Security

  • Security: Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest using industry-standard cryptographic protocols. Our backend infrastructure utilizes web application firewalls and strict authentication checks to protect your data from unauthorized access.
  • AI Data Usage: Data processed by our AI partners is used strictly for immediate application output. We mandate by contract that our AI service providers do not use your private passport data, queries, or photos to train their generalized foundational models.

5. Data Retention and Account Deletion

  • We retain your data only as long as your account is active.
  • Account Deletion: You may request account deletion directly within the App via Settings > Account > Delete Account.
  • Data Purge Policy: To protect against accidental deletion, your account enters a "pending deletion" state for 7 days. After 7 days, our automated systems permanently purge your user record, ticket history, uploaded photos, chat messages, and social connections from our active databases.

6. Your Privacy Choices & Rights

Depending on your location (such as under the GDPR or CCPA), you have the right to:

  • Access & Export: Request a copy of your personal data.
  • Opt-Out: Toggle off "Share Analytics," "Share Photo Recaps," and "Share Game Day Check-In" directly in the App Settings.
  • Revoke Permissions: You can revoke Camera, Microphone, and Location access at any time via your device Settings. Note that doing so will disable core features like Live Activities, Song Identification, and Geofence Verification.

7. Children's Privacy

StadiumStub is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have inadvertently gathered such data, we will delete it immediately.
